There is currently an issue affecting a percentage of users in regards to the Xbox Series X and some 1440p120Hz capable monitors.
The issue is that the Xbox does not think the monitor is capable of 1440p120Hz when the monitor itself is rated for 1440p144Hz (MSI MAG27CQ).
The Xbox gives the options of only 1080p120/60Hz or 1440p60Hz.
I am using the HDMI cable that comes with the Xbox and since they claim it can do 4K120, the HDMI should be 2.1 - coupled with the fact that I can get my monitor to do HDMI 1440p120Hz from my PC also means that the HDMI input should be 2.0 on the monitor.
Anyway, having not got very far with other avenues of support, I am wondering if the CRU would be able to make changes to the monitors EDID and therefore allow the Xbox Series X to be set to 1440p120Hz
It's either this or a new monitor and a free fix is always more attractive than buying a new monitor.
